TeachFirst still have places left for Welsh medium students on their Leadership Development programme. These opportuniteis are open to final year students who have at lest 50% of their degree in Welsh OR a grade B or above in Welsh at A level and GCSE at grade B or above in both English and Mathematics.
The LDP is an intensive two-year programme that combines your development as a practising teacher with personal and business skills training, internship opportunities, mentoring and access to an ambassador network and supporters.
High-profile recruiters from all sectors recognise that the skills and strategies you develop in the classroom are directly transferable to any career. They know that if you can engage, motivate and stimulate a class of 30, you can handle pretty much any situation in any organisation. Google, The Civil Service Fast Stream, Goldman Sachs, Accenture, Aldi and PwC are just a few of Teach First’s supporters who have gone on to recruit graduates after the Leadership Development Programme. They also support in other ways such as deferred entry schemes and offering internships whilst you are on the LDP.
Exactly how your journey evolves will be up to you – this is your journey, and, while there are a number of fixed requirements along the way, Teach First expect you to take the lead in shaping your route. Where will it take you? Places are nearing capacity so it’s time to get yours submitted!
